Shiva Bala Yogi
Once a devotee remarked that Swamiji was very wise.Swamiji replied, “Yogi not very intelligent.”
The devotee quipped, “If a yogi is not intelligent, then what is he?”
The interpreter heard the remark and translated to Swamiji, who responded directly in English, “Yogi is love.”
“Many yogis will be coming to this earth, like Christ, Mohammed and Buddha. They will all come and they will all protect you. Because these times are changing and things are getting worse, they are coming to settle things right and save people. Every five thousand years there is a change that takes place in the world. Now is that time, so there is a change that is coming.” ~ ShivaBalaYogi
When asked about the purpose of the continual incarnation cycles of guru and devotees, Swamiji replied: “It is the relationship between guru and disciple. Just like your children to you, you all are children to Swamiji. You have to be a part of the family always. It is called the Atma [soul] relationship."
"Meditation is to control your mind. Through meditation you can get peace of mind. Your blood pressure comes down so your health improves. Whatever you do in life gets done better. You come to know your own mind. Through such understanding, everyone can function and work well together.” “Meditation reduces the tension in you. “The word ‘Hindu’ was coined only a thousand years ago. Before that no such word existed. Then only the Indian culture existed. This culture is what Swamiji is teaching. Hinduism is a religion. It is not a culture. Religious leaders started religions. Before that no religions existed. Even the people of the West were of the Indian culture. Gradually they were distracted by the religious leaders. Now they are again interested in the Indian culture.”
“Yogis do not talk about religion. No yogi has ever talked about religion. Yogis bring people from all lines together and teach them how to practice. They are practical. Religions are started by spiritual leaders.” ~ ShivaBalaYogi
“There is a lot of tension in the minds of people. There is no understanding. People are jealous of each other. It is all because of the mind. If you get rid of the tension then each person can understand the person next to him. There will be more understanding among you. All the bad things will disappear by themselves.”“The ordinary person’s mind is about sixty percent of the individual, intelligence is around thirty percent, and the soul only ten percent. By practicing meditation you can increase your intellect to sixty percent. Then your mind will be reduced to ten percent and the soul will increase to thirty percent. Then people can understand. That is what brings about the change of the age. Do you understand now?” ~ SWAMIJI
“It is not necessary for the guru to be with you. If you just go and ask a picture of Swamiji, that is sufficient. Swamiji will come in an astral body and help you.”“If you do meditation well, Swamiji will be appearing to you always and he will be with you all the while. Swamiji’s astral bodies are flying just like an airplane flies from India to America. He flies from there to your heart. Whenever you pray for Swamiji, he will come and be in front of you and hold you in his arms.” ~ ShivaBalaYogi
