Know the Truth Through Meditation
His Mission: M e d i t a t i o n
Shivabalayogi
was asked, "What is Swamiji’s teaching?" He simply said these
words, “Dhyana. Vibhuti. Bhajan. Bhava samadhi.”
(Meditation. Blessed ash. Spiritual song. Divine trance.)
Swamiji gave no discourse and he preached no doctrine. His
only verbal teaching is that people should meditate for an hour each day.
Everything else we need to know we will learn through our own meditation. Shivabalayogi
teaches in
silence - through experiences and direct knowledge.
Shivabalayogi gives
darshan, the spiritual energy which
radiates around his presence.
When people ask for his help, he gives them specially blessed ash
(vibhuti).
“Swamiji blesses vibhuti and gives it to you
to cure your mental and physical illnesses. If you use it you will be cured of
all diseases. Your blood pressure and your tension will come down if you use the
vibhuti as instructed.”
He once said that blessed vibhuti is one of his
forms.
Swamiji places great
importance on giving blessed food (prashad).
“Prashad is what the guru gives the devotees. It is food that the
guru has blessed. When you go to your mother’s house, does not your mother feed
you? What your mother gives you is just food. What Swamiji gives you and what
the guru gives you is prashad.”
During
bhajans,
he gives
spiritual trance and bhava which
typically manifests as a peaceful
exhilaration, but in some cases he completely immerses a person's ordinary
consciousness in a divine bliss. Most importantly, he freely gives to all who
want initiation into
dhyana meditation.
Shri Swamiji's meditation programs consist of
initiation into
dhyana, meditation practice of about 45
to 60 minutes, then about an hour of
bhajans during which he gives darshan in
samadhi.
Shivabalayogi serves all people without regard to origin,
background, religion, or beliefs. His blessings and initiation are given without
obligation. It is up to each individual whether they adopt him as guru, teacher
or friend. His blessings serve to deepen whatever spiritual path or commitment
we wish to pursue.
